Safety
The P.180 was designed with safety in mind - three lifting surfaces instead of two provide increased stability and additional lift resulting in less turbulence. The high aspect ratio main wing reduces drag creating smoother air flow over the main wing. In addition, the “hot wing” design provides an anti-icing system that prevents ice from forming on the wings.
